White water rafting

White water rafting is an adventurous water sport that anyone above the age of 10 years could enjoy safely. Among the several river locations suitable for this enthralling recreational activity, Kithulgala remains the most famous location out of them.

As far as white water rafting is concerned, there is no doubt that being able to swim is an extreme advantage. But, it is not essential to be a good swimmer to be suitable for this activity. You will be assisted by the well trained rafters and compulsorily provided with all necessary lifesaving and flotation equipment thought the journey. However, those who have critical health disorders as well as people who are not comfortable in turbulent waters are not encouraged to take part in white water rafting.

The best time to enjoy white water rafting at Kitulgala is from May to December. During the peaks of the rainy season, the river could become too rough and unsafe for water sports including rafting.
